St. Peter's Guild of Change Ringers, Wolverhampton

Our AGM was held in February and the status quo was kept for the officers. After some consideration and as no one came forward to take over as Ringing Master, James Ridgway agreed to continue after standing down in January.

The AGM also gave us the opportunity to raise with the Rector the issue of recruitment and falling numbers. It was agreed that a media campaign would be launched and we received coverage in the Express and Star and on the local BBC news website. Thanks to Richard Robson for organising this.

As of Monday 18th January our Ringing Master, James Ridgway, has stood down with immediate effect. This is for personal reasons and a new Ringing Master will be elected at the AGM in February. In the mean time the Deputy Ringing Master, Catherine Pollard, will be Acting Ringing Master.

We are delighted to welcome our new Rector, David Wright, as Chariman of the Guild. We look forward to working with him over the coming years.
