St. Peter's Guild of Change Ringers, Wolverhampton

2011 sees the centenary of the recasting and augmentation of our fine Gillett and Johnston peal of 12, the first complete Gillett 12 in the world.

We are keen to mark this momentous centenary and have come up with a list of projects and events for 2011:

• A set of completely new ropes with a sally colour change
• Rededication Service
• Local exhibition/media articles about how the 12 came about (Gillett's have already pledged to supply artefacts relating to the 12)
• Centenary peal in 2012, 100 years after the first peal
• Redecoration/re-lighting/re-heating and general refurbishment of the Ringing Chamber
• Restoration of all Peal Boards

We will not be embarking on a major bell project.

To raise money for these projects we have decided to launch a penny appeal. All we ask is that people donate their spare pennies. You can do this virtually here, just 1p would be great but more if you would like! Thank you.
