St. Peter's Guild of Change Ringers, Wolverhampton

2011 sees the centenary of the recasting and augmentation of our fine Gillett and Johnston peal of 12, the first complete Gillett 12 in the country.

We are keen to mark this event in a special way - but we don't know how exactly at the moment although we are starting to plan things. We are pleased to announce that Gillett's will support us in our centenary celebrations.

Liklely projects and events will include:

• Set of completely new ropes with a sally colour change
• Rededication Service
• Local exhibition/media articles about how the 12 came about
• Centenary peal in 2012, 100 years after the first peal
• Redecoration/re-lighting of the Ringing Chamber
• Restoration of all Peal Boards

We have recently started to think seriously about this and will be starting to fundraise shortly. We are unlikely to embark on a major bell project.

Gillett and Johnston
Their bell founding business ended in the 1950's, but they continue today as clockmakers.
